The Smallest 4 Leaf Clover

I found an incredibly small clover earlier last week while photographing some new lockets out on the lawn. I wouldn't have seen it if I had not had my face so close to the grass with my macro lens. This clover is so tiny that it could possibly fit through the eye of my embroidery needle! Isn't that something? I'm going to have to find a really special project to make with this clover!
I'd love to hear suggestions!

A big thank you to brokenghostcouture for including one of my real handmade 4 leaf clover necklaces in her unique green treasury!

Please visit brokenghostcouture on etsy for very unique, one of a kind upcycled clothing for girls and women.
This pony themed dress is my personal favorite!

I love etsy because you can shop for the most unique things from all over the world!
Handmade ROCKS!

Customer Appreciation Photo Time!

Isn't this the most darling customer appreciation photo any crafter/artisan could hope to have?!!!

I love this so much! Britt is wearing one of my fancy deluxe clover cameos and a giant clover dome ring. I've set aside a few clovers to work on some earrings for her as well. She's going to be a walking lucky charm!

Thank you so much Britt for the photo & loving my four leaf clover creations!
You're the best!

Many thanks to jewelry maker underanewlight on etsy for including my real 4 leaf clover drop pendant in her gorgeous fall themed treasury! Aren't the colors orange and green just fabulous together? I think so!

New Shapes I've Been Working On

Hey all!

I've been working hard on getting some of these new shapes I've cast finished up & photographed...so they will be coming to the shop in the next week! Some will have the brass findings & others will be in silver. I love the variety of shapes & sizes!
If there is a certain shape pendant you are looking for, please send me a message & I'll see what wonderful thing I can make just for you!

Customer Appreciation Photo TIme!

I've been doing a happy dance because one of my lovely customers sent me a message with an appreciation photo & the sweetest message about her new locket!

I asked her if it would be ok to post on the blog & she was so sweet about it!
This is one of the main things that really drive me to be creative.... to make those extra special treasures that would've never otherwise existed unless they were made with my own hands.
If you would like your own clover locket necklace, I do have another one available in the shop here: www.asluckwouldhaveit.etsy.com and very soon, I will be listing locket pins... a design inspired by a pin my son's former preschool teacher showed me when I'd given her a necklace for being so sweet to my boy.

Clover Charms are Like Snowflakes...No Two are Alike!

I have been crafting away... preparing for the cold months ahead.

This is a handfull of my 'lucky in love' real four leaf clover jewelry charms. They are real clovers that I have handcast into heart shapes with a dash of sparkle. I just finished the final polishing of these & couldn't resist taking a photo of them gleaming in the sun peeking through one of our maple trees.

It's getting harder and harder to find a clover in the lawn during these dry August -almost- September days. It reminds me of the frosty days ahead.

I love the changing seasons here in Ohio, & need to make hay while the sun shines.

Happy Father's Day!

I've been working on some more masculine items for the etsy shop so that the menfolk are not left out in terms of having a lucky charm or two of their very own. I thought that since it was Father's day...today would be an appropriate one to unveil my latest creation!

Introducing brand new real four leaf clover cufflinks for that special guy!

I will be listing these in the shop very soon!

Lucky me! I was featured on I Heart That Dance's Blog & Giveaway!

I really appreciate the sweet article & giveaway that Ally hosted over on 'I Heart That Dance' ...spreading the word about the real clover jewelry, resin jewelry, & other crafty things I make!

So many folks participated & left really wonderful comments about my jewelry & I even made a couple of sales that probably wouldn't have happened if it had not been for the great feature.

I love how Ally & Nic described Etsy accounts ..."they are free and easy to sign up for -- kinda like EBay!" Don't be intimidated to buy from etsy sellers...but be warned that shopping there can be addictive!

I work really hard on my creations & package them in such a way that I'd be tickled to receive one in the mail...and hope that the lucky winner of the giveaway really loves her new treasure!
Congrats to Cee Jammin for winning the heart shaped clover necklace!
Thank you Ally & Nic for including me in your super summer giveaway!
Cheers!

new real four leaf clover ring...

Just listed this fabulous bauble on etsy this afternoon!
I really love it & hope to work on more of these large dome rings.
I'm so excited about this because it's my first time working with this mold & also the first product shots with my brand new camera!
(thanks honey for not getting that yard tool/lawn equipment you had your eye on)

As Luck Would Have It...

I have opened an etsy shop to feature only the goodies I make with the four leaf clovers we find!
It's called "AsLuckWouldHaveIt" and I've been working hard to find more clovers which will hopefully become more beautiful original jewelry!

I consider myself lucky...very lucky actually. Like a cat it seems I have at least 9 lives... having survived a house fire, near drowning, a choking incident, as well as a car accident where someone hit me head on...on a bridge. I must have a guardian angel up there somewhere...that's for sure!
I have always found four leaf clovers just by happenstance... sitting down on the lawn for a picnic there would be one right there by my knee. Walking to the mailbox I seem to trip over them. At one point I thought I should go for the Guiness World Record in clover finding....but didn't think it was possible I'd find enough to beat the current record holder after looking into it.

The direction for my clovers changed when I decided to start making jewelry with them back when I started crafting with resin a few years ago.

My kids love looking for them now & help me circle the lawn looking for a good clover patch to scan. They get so excited when we find one hidden there! After a clover is found, we press it in a heavy book for a couple of weeks so that it dries completely...then it's ready to become art!

I will post my article on 'how to find a 4 leaf clover' here on this blog later...because I think anyone can be lucky enough to find one!
